Franklin D. Jones

Franklin D. Jones, 82, of Obion, TN, died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  Born November 3, 1936, he was the son of the late James K. Vardamon and Ollie Bell Jones.  He was a retired farmer, and he was retired from John Deere dealership in Ridgley. Also he was a member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Lester Stone with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery.

Privileged to serve as pallbearers:  Danny Stone, Johnny Stone, Arron Stone, Harry Jones, Brent Stone, and Doug Robertson

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Anne Jones of Obion; three daughters, Marina Archibald and Ronnie of Greenfield, Julie Jones Kirk and Michael, Valery Jones Lewis and James, both of Obion; one son, Wayne Jones and Amy of Obion; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Stone and Sybil Stone and one brother Tom Jones.
