Harriet Dawson Cousins

August 22, 1932 — October 9, 2018

Harriet Dawson Cousins died October 9, 2018 of complications due to Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born August 22, 1932 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Roger Clark and Anna Elizabeth Fowlkes Dawson.  

Harriet was a graduate of Dyersburg High School. Later, she moved to Memphis where she was in management for the 7-11 Corp., then later retiring after 22 years from Kroger Company.  She was a life-long member of the First Methodist Church in Dyersburg, TN. and Central Church in Memphis.

She is survived by two daughters:  Ann Clark Gentry (Robert Jacobs) of Los Angeles, CA, and Sally Gentry of Memphis. She had 3 grandchildren, Jack Clark Gentry of Memphis and Halle Elizabeth Jacobs and Walker Jacobs of Los Angeles.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Apple Grove Assisted Living for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be given to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.  Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
