Mildred Lawrence

Mildred Elizabeth Lawrence, 85, of Lavinia formerly of Ridgely, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  Born March 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Willis Edgar and Viola Lynch Gaskins.  She was a homemaker and a member of Huntingdon Church of God of Prophecy.                                       

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Ridgely Church of God of Prophecy officiated by Pastor Kelly Moore, Pastor Troy Redman and Reverend Clayton Mahan with interment to follow in Antioch Cemetery.

Jon LaJoie, Lance Lawrence, Brooks Johnston, Richard Lawrence, Jacob Lawrence, Ronald Coker, Chase Coker and James Brown will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 16th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the church.                                    

She is survived by three daughters, Cathy Coleman (Mike), Vickie Lawrence, both of Lavinia, Judy LaJoie (Jon) of Cape Coral, FL; two sons, Donnald Lawerance of Laurel Hill, FL, Kelly Lawrence (Monica) of Milan; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Claudie Gaskins of Dyersburg and Kenneth Gaskins of Memphis.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Robert “Bob” D. Lawrence; one son, Robert Jeffrey Lawrence and several sisters and brothers.
