Raymond S. Permenter

Raymond Smith Permenter, of Dyersburg, died Friday, January 12, 2018 at The Bridge at Ridgely.  Born May 14, 1936, he was the son of the late Charlie and Moody Permenter.  He was a farmer.                                   

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Finley Baptist Church                    conducted by Pastor Butch Burns with interment to follow in Sorrell’s Chapel Cemetery.

Doug Davis, Jr., Marty Permenter, Gary Permenter, Wade Anderson, Bo Mann, Johnny Anderson and Rance Permenter will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 12 noon until service time at the church.                                   
He is loved and survived by two sisters, Rachel Anderson and Linda Darby, both of Dyersburg, two step-daughters, Brenda Climer (David) and Karen Bevis and one step-son, Clifford (Cathy) Bevis, all of Dyersburg and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his soulmate, Linda Bevis,  two sisters, Janice Carolyn McDonald, Connie Jo Davis; four brothers, Ezra Permenter, Douglas McArthur Permenter, William Brown Permenter, Charlie Perry Permenter; and two step-sons, Jimmy Bevis and Thomas Bevis, all of Dyersburg.
