Dona Sue Greer

Dona Greer, 69, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at her residence. Born February 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Leoda Bates.  She was retired from Walmart and a member of Dyersburg Church of God. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Dyersburg Church of God conducted by Pastor Robert Davis and Pastor Jerry Roberts with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.                     

Pallbearers will be Bart Jowers, Shane Essary, Heath Stow, Keith Stow, Kaleb Stow and Jeremy Attaway.  

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 23rd beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.                                    

She is survived by three sons, Jay Greer (Kristi) of Dyersburg, Ricky Greer of Licking, MO, Paul Greer (Mary) of Finley; five sisters, Ina Freeman, Francis Holland, Delores Quick, Bonita Roper, all of Licking, MO, Margaret Goetz of Dyersburg; five brothers, Kenneth Bates, Roger Bates, Lloyd Bates, Daryl Bates, Adrian Bates, all of Licking, MO; three grandchildren, Anna Greer, Shane Essary, Keri Williams; and five great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Greer (1997), her son, Dwayne Greer (2007); her grandson, Jonathan Greer (2003) and infant siblings, Russell and Doretta Bates.    

The family requests memorials be directed to Dyersburg Church of God, 1014 Phillips Street, Dyersburg, TN  38024.
