Lessie Inez Willis

Lessie Inez Willis, 90, of Newbern, died Friday, May 19, 2017 at her residence.  Born March 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ada Bryant Teague.  She was retired from Methodist Hospital. She was a member of Bryant’s Chapel Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hunt of Newbern; her son, Michael Willis of Newbern; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Willis and her great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Grace Bates.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
