Janie Connell

Janie D. Connell, 68, of Munford, formerly of Dyersburg, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.  Born February 17, 1949 to the late Elijah Hill “Shorty” and Anna Katherine Wright Noel, she was retired as the Recreation Assistant for the City of Dyersburg.

 
Pallbearers will be Josh Childress, Andy Baker, Randy Pinkley, Mike Thedford, Kenny McLean and Lloyd Stewart.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Calvin Smith with interment to follow in Dry Hill Cemetery.   

The Connell family will receive friends from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday April 24, 2017 at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Childress (John) of Munford; her sister, Dorcas Snider of Dyersburg; her brother, Damon Noel (Nora) of Horn Lake, MS; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Patton and four brothers, Harold Noel, Billy Noel, Raymond Noel and Wilburn Noel.
