Charles L. Baker

June 12, 1927 — April 16, 2017

 

Charles L. Baker, 89, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.  Born June 12, 1927, he was the son of the late Charles and Rena Owen Baker.  He was retired from Heckethorn Manufacturing Company and Arby’s. Mr. Baker proudly served our country in the Navy and Air Force.  

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20. 2017 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Brian Grow with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  

 

Pallbearers will be John David White, Jo Frank Reagan, Neil White, Greg Goosetree, Jase Lawrence, Tom Palmer and Terry White.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Baker Max of Covington; his step-daughter, Susan Reagan White (Chris) of Atoka; two step-sons, Thomas Bryant Reagan (Delia) of Beaumont, TX, Joe Frank Reagan (Pam) of Dyersburg; one sister, Rena Wheatley (Louis) of Ripley; three grandsons, Blaine, Jordan and Clay Max, five step-grandchildren, Neil, John David and William White, James Reagan and four step-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Sue Baker and Martha Sue Baker and his son-in law, Don Max.

 

The family requests memorials be directed to First Christian Church, 1200 Community Park Road, Dyersburg, TN  38024.
