Joyce P. Brown

Joyce P. Brown, 81, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional. Born January 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Mark Wayne and Rosie Elizabeth Caldwell Hutchison.  She was a homemaker, member of Holy Hills Baptist Church, loving wife, mother and grandmother.        

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Leonard Ballinger with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.  

The family will receive friends Friday, March 10th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, W.J. Brown; four sons, Mark Brown (Christie), Ray Brown (Margo), William Brown, all of Dyersburg, Rodney Brown (Alan Adkins) of Memphis; three sisters, Peggy Hooper, Evelyn Atwood, Wilma Baker (Henry), all of Ypsilanti, MI; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Vaughan, Elizabeth Lee and one brother, Stan Hutchison.
