Doris Permenter

Doris Permenter, 89, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional Hospital. Born August 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Julia Cagle Berkley. She was a homemaker and active member of Finley Methodist Church.  She was a member of Finley Home Demonstration Club.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Randy Prince, Dr. Robert Wilhite and Reverend Dell King with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.   

Pallbearers will be J.C. Castellaw, Joe Wood, James Paul Berkley, Dean Teeter, Ryan Wood and Ricky Phillips.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 22nd from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Stoy Permenter; two daughters, Sandy Prince (Randy) of Dyersburg, Lee Ann Wilhite (Robert) of Columbia; four grandchildren, Colin Prince (Whitney) of Nashville, Julia Prince Pfohl (Taylor) of Memphis, Daniel Wilhite, Emily Wilhite, both of Columbia and one great-grandchild, Malia Burchell of Columbia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Styers; and three brothers, Walter Berkley, Jr., Rex Berkley and Joe Berkley.
