Bobbye R. Hicks

Bobbye R. Hicks, 87, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born September 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur and Maudie G. Childress Permenter.  She was a former employee of Parkview Hospital and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 Graveside at Childress Family Cemetery conducted by Reverend Loren Stephens.  

Pallbearers will be Derek Guivehchi, Hunter Jones, Patrick Hicks and Thomas Rigsby.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn Guivehchi, Linda Jones, both of Dyersburg; one son, Michael Hicks (Robin) of North Richland Hills, TX; one sister, Sandra Rigsby of Finley; one brother, Jimmy Permenter of Hawkins, TX; four grandchildren, Derek Guivehchi (Whitney), Hunter Jones, Sarah Hicks, Patrick Hicks; and one great-grandson, John Guivehchi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Opal Johnson, Margie Melton, Dorothy Haddock, May Dill and two brothers, Ewell Permenter and Kenneth Permenter.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Dyersburg/Dyer Co Humane Society, P.O. 223, Dyersburg, TN 38025.
