Peggy Dixon Criswell

Peggy Dixon Criswell, 76, of Finley, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  Born October 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Elmer and Kate Moore Dixon. She was a member of Finley Baptist Church, active member and treasurer of the Dyersburg High School Class of 1957 and retired from First Citizens National Bank.  

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Charlie Halliburton with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.   

Pallbearers will be Charles Maxey, James Earl Johnson, Gerald Tidwell, Bobby Baker, Darrell Rutledge and Jere Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons and Yokefellows of Finley Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 Noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, David Criswell (Penny) of Jackson, Gary Criswell (Jennifer) of Finley; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her cousin Ruth Chandler (Jere) of Birmingham, AL; and caregivers, Joey Simpson and Rick Jennings of Finley.
