Shirley Connelly

Shirley Anderson Connelly, 69, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 24, 2016 at her sister’s residence in Martin, TN.  Born July 29, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Lee Boyd and Ina Mae Wilson Anderson. She was a member of Independent Free Holiness Church.  

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Tommy Roper and Brother Calvin Smith with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends Monday, June 27th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jimmy Connelly; two sons, Jimmy Dale Connelly, Jr., Jeffery Lynn Connelly, both of Dyersburg; one sister, Elizabeth Baker of Fulton; two brothers, Troy Anderson, Stoy Anderson, both of Dyersburg; two sister-in laws, Monette Carlton of Camden, Janet Buchanan of Martin; 3 grandsons, Bradley Emmitt Connelly, Benjamin Scott Connelly, Joshua Lynn Connelly; four great-grandchildren, Landon Everett Connelly, Hunter Scott Connelly, Nia Lynn Connelly and Deklan Gunter Connelly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Archie Anderson.

The family requests memorials be directed to Independent Free Holiness Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
