Elmer Gene Sanford

Elmer Gene Sanford, 97, of Tiptonville, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Reelfoot Manor.  Born April 15, 1919, he was the son of the late James and Dellar Ketchup Sanford. He was a farmer and member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church.  

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Calvary Independent Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Carl Southerland with interment to follow in Haynes Memorial Gardens.   

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

He is survived by two grandsons, Dennis Sanford (Judy) of Franksville, WI, Denmon Lee Sanford (Toni) of Union City; his daughter in law, Keleta Sanford of Tiptonville; his granddaughter in law, Doris Sanford of Tiptonville; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Harold Gene Sanford and his grandson, Mark Damon Sanford.
