Jessie Virginia Jones

Mrs. Jessie Virginia Jones, 86, of Dyersburg , died Friday, April 29. 2016 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.  Born February 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Jessie James Valentine and Maggie Lou Vestal Valentine.

She was a member of the Independent Free Holiness Church of Dyersburg; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church; and a member of the Disabled American Veterans auxiliary.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 2, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home at 11:00 with Brother Calvin Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dyersburg.

Pallbearers will be James Vestal, Terry Vestal, Tim Vestal, Wayne Vestal, Dwayne Vestal, and Larry Bizzle.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 1, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Curry Funeral Home.  

She is survived by her sons: Tommy Jones and wife Francene of Copperas Cove, TX and Johnny Jones and Lisa of Dyersburg, TN; three daughters: Norma Jean Smith and husband Calvin, Shelia Seat and husband David, and Patti Craig and husband David all of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, J.M. Valentine and wife Mary of Yorkville, TN; one sister, Marie Hendren of Dyersburg, TN; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Warren Jones.
