Hyacinth Collier Farrar, 96, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. Born January 21, 1920 in Magnolia, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Susy Yeates Collier. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mike Hickman. Interment will be Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.
Family will serve as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 17th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie McDaniel of Dyersburg; her son Glen Edward Farrar of Lonoke, Arkansas; 1 sister, Bertie Mae Davis of Minden, LA; 7 grandchildren, Scott Munholland, Mark Munholland, Greg Munholland, Pam McDaniel, Tony Farrar, Justin Farrar, Samantha Veteto and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel William Farrar; her daughter, Ruby Farrar Munholland; 2 sisters, Georgia Mae Burdine, Gwendolyn Collier; 4 brothers, John Colquitt (J.C.) Collier, Walter Albertis Collier, Jr., John Samuel “J.S.” Collier, Rufus Raymond Collier; and 1 grandson, Mac McDaniel.
The family requests memorials be directed to First Baptist Church, 220 Masonic Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
