Inez Holland Jones

Inez Holland Jones, age 80, of Hammond, Indiana, formerly of Dyersburg, TN went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2016.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Peggy) Jones; daughter, Sheila (Noel) Diaz, son, Jon Paul Jones; son-in-law, Farrell D. Sellers; Grandchildren: Kyle Jones, Valerie Brambert, Dwight (Christy) Sellers, Joel Sellers, Ashley (Eddie) Alexander, Sheila (Michael) Harvey, Christopher Sellers, Patrick Sellers, Regina Kastner and Michael Diaz; 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Jimmie D. Jones, 2 daughters: Jimmie Ann Sellers and Annette Jones; parents, Porter and Edith Holland along with 9 siblings. 

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, Indiana. Visitation will also be Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Curry Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel with Reverend Ralph Gunter and Reverend Marti Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN.

Inez was born and raised in Dyersburg, TN and has lived in Hammond for the past 4 years. Inez earned a bachelors degree in education and was the assistant director and teacher at Baptist Christian Boy’s Home in Shreveport, LA and also at the Malachi Boy’s Home in Reedsville, NC. Before her teaching career she was a surgical nurse. Inez was a Godly woman who loved her Lord. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends.
