Martha Coleman

Martha Allene Bennett Coleman, 95, of Dyersburg, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.   Born June 21, 1920 in Corinth, MS, she was the daughter of the late John A. Bennett and Mattie Lou Walden Bennett. She was retired from Colonial Rubber and a Baptist.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Billy Criswell with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.   

Pallbearers will be Evan Wilkerson, Tracy Coleman, Eric Coleman, Dylan Coleman, Jimmy Hopgood, and Bradley Hopgood.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughters: Margaret Porter and Sheryl Hopgood of Newbern, TN ; her son, Mike Coleman of Ft. Worth, TX; seven grandchildren: Marlo Porter, Eric Coleman, Tracy Coleman, Mike Dobis, Tiffany Parker, Brandon Hopgood, and Bradley Hopgood; and numerous great-grandchildren, including, Evan Wilkerson, Dylan Coleman, Ragan Coleman, Mackenzie Coleman, and Reece Coleman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Emmett Coleman, Jr.; her sister, Myrtle Patterson; and her brother, James Bennett.
