Elmer Rausch, 74, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at his residence. Born June 16, 1941, he was the son of the late John Anthony and Mildred Jaeger Rausch. He was a retired business owner of Chuppa Knife. Elmer was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend David Graham with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Blake Harden, James Harden, Sam White, Greg Armstrong, Ray Faulk and Steve Fowlkes. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Preston Dickerson, Gary Brainerd, Sr. and James McCorkle.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 28th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Rausch; one daughter, Christine Harden of Starkville, MS; two sons, John Rausch of Dyersburg, Tony Rausch of San Diego, CA; one sister, Julie Klosterman of Charlotte, NC; 5 grandchildren, Holly Rausch, Erin Rausch, Blake Harden, Blair White, Michael DeWolfe and great-grandchild Paxton White; three step-children, Sue (Chuck) Collins, Jeanne (Ken) Lesperance, Tim (Tammy) Ertl; 6 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren.
