Mary Ann Sewell

Mary Ann Sewell, 87, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Dyersburg Manor. She was born January 11, 1928 to the late Waldo and Mary Lou Allen. She was retired from Colonial Rubber and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Michael Crandall. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery in Gates. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Landon Sewell, Jacob Brannon, Jackson Sewell, Scotty Rose, Ronnie Scott Clift, Ronnie Clift, Dexter Meredith and Barry Sewell. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Gibson, David Greer, Claudie Gaskins, Brian Meredith, Jonathan Meredith and Billy Winstead. The Sewell family will receive friends Thursday, February 5th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, L.V. Sewell; 2 daughters, Dorothy Ann Clift (Ronny) of Middleton, Jeannie Meredith (Dexter) of Knoxville; 4 sons, Roy Sewell (Dottie) of Granda, MS, Lonnie Victor Sewell (Madonna), Tommy Sewell (Debbie), both of Dyersburg, Donald Ray Sewell of Pinson; 1 sister, Ruth Ann Bishop of Memphis; 1 brother, Wayne Allen of Phoenix, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
