Dorothy Ruth Nielsen, 87, of Newbern, formerly of Carol Stream, IL, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at her grandson's residence. She was a former business owner. She is survived by her grandson Glen Nielsen, Jr. (Malissa Stewart) of Newbern, 2 great-grandchildren Colton Stewart and Tasha Stewart, both of Newbern and Michael Corbett of Aurora, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband Oliver Nielsen and 2 sons Glen Nielsen, Sr., Mike Nielsen. Cremation services are under the direction of Curry Funeral Home.
