Aubrey "Mac" Gene McBride

Aubrey G. “Mac” McBride, 76, of Newbern, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at his residence. Born September 28, 1942, he was the son of the late David Edward and Ida Mae Dill McBride. He was a member of Church Grove Baptist Church, a strong Union Member at Roofers Local 11 in Chicago and enjoyed traveling and camping at Lake Koshkonong. Mac proudly served his country as an Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War era.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 at Church Grove Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner.

Bruce McBride, Daniel McBride, Jerry Davis, Frank Bilek, Patrick McBride and Donald Fisher will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janet McBride; one daughter, Audrey Ehmen (Angus) of Davis Junction, IL; three sons, Lee McBride (Diane) of Virginia Beach, VA, Timothy McBride of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin McBride (Samantha) of Newbern; two sisters, Carol Oakey (Robert), Wilma McBride, both of Durand, IL; three brothers, Michael McBride of Staunton, IL, Bruce McBride of Beloit, WI, Daniel McBride (Cathy) of Loves Park, IL; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Jackie McBride of Machesney Park, IL; and his sister-in-law, Brenda McBride of Loves Park, IL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen McBride and his brother, Melvin McBride.
