Eli Cantu, Jr.

Eli Cantu, Jr. 54, died Monday, September 16, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born July 7, 1965, he is the son of Ofelia Cantu and the late Eli Cantu, Sr. He was a correctional officer at the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department. Eli was known as the “big man with the big smile” and was loved by everyone whose lives he touched.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Emma Cantu; one son, Charles Brown (Charlotte) of Milan; two sisters, Melissa “Molly” Cantu, Josie Cantu; , one brother, John Eric Cantu, all of Stanton, TX; and seven grandchildren.
