The children of Faye's siblings were especially close to Aunt Faye. Jeff Pierce, Lee Pierce, Michelle Chewning, Penny Kilpatrick and Scott Johnson, along with their spouses and children have lived under the loving umbrella of Aunt Faye's house with a multitude of visits, extended stays, and holidays over the years. Faye was a great cook and was happiest when family filled the house.
Faye became a widow at a young age, returned to college, received a B.S. degree in psychology and began a 25 year career in grants management at the University of Memphis. She remained close to her Dyersburg High School class of '56 friends all her life and never missed class reunions, often arriving several days early and extending her visits afterward. Faye loved her life with Richard, traveling, playing tennis and cards, raising their children and socializing with a wide circle of friends.
