Frances Hodges

Frances Hodges, 93, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 5, 2021 at her daughter’s residence. Born August 30, 1927, she is the daughter of the late Ira E. and Viola Whitley Kee.  She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church since 1945.  Mrs. Hodges was a retired cook for Dyersburg Middle School.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Terry Hodges with interment to follow in Fairview            Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday beginning at 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Steven Holmes, Pete Holmes, Brian Culver, Josh Newell, Jordan Hodges, and David Kee will serve as pallbearers.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Holmes (Wayne) of Milan; her son, Reverend Terry Hodges (Betsy) of Odessa, MO; five grandchildren, Steven Holmes, Beth Culver, Amanda Newell, Jordan Hodges, Ashley Jordan; thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Bobbie Kee; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon (Pete) Hodges; her daughter, Jennefer Rae Hodges; three brothers, Tom Kee, Raymond Kee and William Newbill; and her step-mother Luoma Jones Kee.
