Hazel Hatch Hart

July 18, 1931 — July 22, 2022

Hazel Hatch Hart, 91, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 22, 2022 at AHC Dyersburg.  Born July 18, 1931, she is the daughter of the late Richard and Annie Vera Cummings Holland. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and a 60 year member of Woodman of the World.  Ms. Hazel was the voice of the Dyersburg Hospital for over 56 years, only retiring when the system became updated.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner and Dr. Danny Green.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Honoring Ms. Hazel as pallbearers will be Jackie Hatch, Larry Hatch, Johnny Hatch, Jeff Hatch, Brian Hatch, Ricky Hatch and Terry Hart.

Visitation will be Monday, July 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her four sons, Jackie Hatch, Larry Hatch (Judy), Johnny Hatch (Carol), Jeff Hatch, all of Dyersburg; step-son Terry Hart (Leah) of Murray, KY; one brother, Claude Smith of Dyersburg; fourteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Hatch, James Hart; three sisters, Sarah Holland, Dot Rose, Evelyn Bevis; two brothers, Don Holland, James Holland; and step-son, Jerry Hart.   

The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9959.
