Hazel Rettig

Hazel Rettig, 88, of Dyersburg, died Monday, November 6, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg.  Born October 8, 1935, she is the daughter of the late Theodore “Teddy” and Gertrude Wise Strader. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Jim Pilcher with interment to follow in Sorrell’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 9^th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Timmy Grissom, Richard McGrew, Chris Ware, Ryan Slavings, Brian Hudgins and James Turnbo will be serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by her five daughters, Janice Jones (Pete) of Hot Springs, AR, Joanne Freeman (Brian) of Sapulpa, OK, Brenda Chu (James) of Dyersburg, Debbie McGrew (Richard) of Hot Springs, AR, Lisa Harrington (Randy) of Dyersburg; one son, Bobby Chronister (Judy) of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Beverly Lett of Dyersburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Cheryl “Cookie” Huffman, Kathy Ann Horner; her son, Jerry Chronister; and two brothers, Andy Strader and Ray Strader.
