Helen Chandler

Helen Roberts Chandler, 89, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her residence.  Born January 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mamie Murphy Roberts of Ridgely.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.    

A private entombment service was held at Fairview Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Carthel (Charlie) M. Chandler; four daughters, Sibby Petty (Wayne), Debra Hart (Buddy), Donna Baker (Lee) Sonia Hart (Harry), all of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren: Gina Moody (Wayne), Greg Petty, Shane Petty (Alyson), Harry Hart, Jr., John Hart, Jr. (Joanna), Kristen Bird (Will), Hunter Hart (Katie), Trae Baker (Melissa) and fifteen great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers James Vernon Roberts, Lloyd Lester Roberts and Mac Olen Roberts.
