Larry Herbert Parham

Larry Herbert Parham, 76, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, December 5, 2021 at his residence.  Born March 11, 1945, he was the son of the late John Herbert and Era Reagan Parham.

He was a retired truck driver of 49 years. Larry was a family man. Like John Wayne once said “I have tried to live my life so that my family would love me and my friends respect me.  The others can do whatever the hell they please”. Larry was the definition of a man – tough, fair and courageous. He was a man all about the “12 and 2”- he would turn on oldies but goodies, hike his blue jeans up and do the “rooster poot”.

Graveside Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 9^th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jamie Decker, Johnny Walker, Kyle Lindenman, Cody Evenson, Zackary Robertson and Justin Ray Bishop will serve as pallbearers.

He is survived by his daughter, Christina Lindenman (Jeffrey) of Cedarville, IL; his son, Curtis Parham (Tonya) of RoEllen; two granddaughters, Shelby Parham (Steven Stewart), Samantha Matheny (Zackary Robertson); four grandsons, Cody Evenson (Jasmine Wittbecker), Kyle Lindenman (Tessie Hoge), Justin Bishop, Anthony Bishop; six great-grandchildren, Chloe Stewart, Levi Stewart, Noah Robertson, Mason Robertson, Dawson Robertson, Jaxson Evenson; five nephews, Jamie Decker, Jimmy Walker, Johnny Walker, Tommy Decker, Jr., Harold Forsythe and one niece, Joyce Decker-Jellema.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Chloe Lavenia Carpenter, Evelyn Rose Manahan, Shirley Parham Leadman; and his nephew Timmy Walker.
