Major Sandusky, 78, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. Born June 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Bon and Frankie May Thomas Sandusky. He was a farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Kenny Lee with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Grant Swims, Zachary Sanders, W. H. Sandusky, Jr., Jonathan Harris, George Franklin, George Franklin and Charles Franklin will serve as pallbearers.
He is survived by three daughters, Judy Harris (David) of the RoEllen Community, Debbie Sue Sandusky, Rebecca Sandusky (Terry Reno), both of Caruthersville, MO; three sons, W.H. Sandusky (Barbara) of Hayti, MO, Charles Sandusky (Michelle) of Aulander, NC, David Sandusky (Natasha) of Layfayette, IN; 21 grandchildren;12 great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Bonnie Sanders of Lakeland, FL and Sue Gilbert (J.C.) of Tiptonville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Connie B. Sandusky; one son, Daniel Sandusky; and two grandchildren, Jeremiah Sandusky and Little David Harris; and three sisters, Jackie Rodriquez, Leoma Gamble, Lottie Scott and three brothers, W.C. Sandusky, James Oliver Sandusky and Grady Roy Sandusky.
