Marshall Barker, 91, of Dyersburg, formerly of Hornbeak, died Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Born July 18, 1930, he was the son of the late W.M. and Mary Hensley Barker. He was a member of Wynnburg Baptist Church where he was a deacon for over 50 years. He was an avid fisherman and builder.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Trevor Sewell with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Honoring Mr. Barker by serving as pallbearers will be Brian Hatch, Hunter Hatch, Ricky Hatch, John Cody Taylor, Justin Taylor, Stevie Barker, Jeff Layman and Tommy Lemmons.
The family will receive visitors Sunday, February 6th beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Ozment and husband Charley of Dyersburg; one granddaughter Amy Ozment Rodriguez and husband Louie of Dyersburg; 2 great-granddaughters Specialist Shelby Rogers and Syndee Rogers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Eulene Barker; four sisters, Mary Helen Harris, Ruby Earp, Shirley Hatch, Wilma Patton; and two brothers, James Barker and R.L. Barker.
