Mary Lou Tarkington

Mary Lou Tarkington, 82, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her residence.  Born July 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George Ellis and Opal Louise Bunnell Tarkington.

Graveside funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery officiated by Jerry Patton.   

Serving as pallbearers J.B. Williams, Glendall Brasfield, Trey Tarkington, Dalton Preslar, David Hendricks and Gene Alllmon.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Tarkington of Dyer; her niece, Marsha Yates (Richard) of Kenton and her nephew Robert Tarkington (Sandy) of Dyersburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Lynn Richardson.

The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9959
