Monette Carlton

Monette Carlton, 84, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at her residence. Born November 15, 1935, she is the daughter of the late Bill and Ruth Opal Walker Connelly. She was a member of the Free Holiness Church. Monette was the former owner of Carlton’s Grocery.

Services for Mrs. Carlton were private.

She is survived by her sister, Janet Buchanan of Martin; her brother, Jimmy Dale Connelly of Dyersburg; her grandson, Kevin Petty (Sam) of Dyersburg; and son Tony Kindle of Dyersburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Guy P. “Bill” Carlton; her son, Guy Keith Carlton and her brother, Billy Wayne Connelly.
