Pete Climer

Pete Climer, 84, of Dyersburg, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at his residence.  Born August 13, 1935, he is the son of the late William M. and Mandy Scofield Climer.   He was a retired utilities equipment operator. Mr. Climer was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2020 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Jerry Stafford with interment to follow in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 8^th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.                                   He is survived by five daughters, Edna Gibson (Dale) of Fouke, AR, Cathy Tate, Brenda Davis (Andy),  Cynthia Haynes (Rickey) of RoEllen, Joan French (Randy of Dyersburg; two sons, William Paul Climer (Karen) of Dyersburg, David Lynn Climer (Teresa) of Newbern; twenty grandchildren; thirty eight great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.  

Will Climer, David Climer, Blake Haynes, Hunter Lyles, Andrew Haynes and Steven Daniels will serve as pallbearers. Tim Haynes will be an honorary pallbearer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madie Climer; his grandson, Drew Christopher Climer; one sister, Rosie Walker; and five brothers, Johnny Climer, Gene Climer, Dwayne Climer, Gary Climer and Ed Maness.
