Reed Lynn Riley, Sr.

Reed Lynn Riley, Sr., 78, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg.  Born May 15, 1943, he is the son of the late Roy and Spencie Cowell Riley.  He was a Christian and a Deacon at Fowlkes Baptist Church.  Reed and Faye owned many businesses throughout the years.  They also enjoyed many years of traveling the country.  Reed was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Curry Funeral Home was honored to have Mr. Reed as an employee twice during his working years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by his nephew, Dr. Dan Riley.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 24^th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.  

Matthew Riley, Caleb Riley, Jeremy McNutt, Brad Whittle, Ralph Shults and Clifford Shults will serve as pallbearers.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye Riley; two sons, Reed Lynn Riley, Jr. (Angie) of Dyersburg, Kevin Riley (Stephanie) of Lexington, SC; one sister, Coleen Whittle of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Caleb Riley (Jordan), Matthew Riley, Tamara Terry (Ryan), Meredith Riley (Blake Crawford), Rachael Riley; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ada, Alaric, Jackson, Tessa, Barrett, True, Gatlin, Breelynn, Tripp, Joanna, Savannah and Gracelynn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Garland Riley and Farris Riley.
