Richard H. Leighton

Richard H. Leighton, 94, of Orland Park, IL died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his daughter’s residence in Dyersburg.  Born in Chicago, IL, he is the son of the late Harold and Helen Skonig Leighton. He was an automobile mechanic.  Richard had a zest for life and loved riding motorcycles, boating & most outdoor sports until he was in his 70’s.

Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL with interment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

He is survived by three daughters, Marianne Ripper (John) of Indian Trail, NC, Pat Eudaley of Dyersburg, Janet Andorf (Gary) of Homer Glen, IL; one son, Rick Leighton (Carolyn) of Newbern; four grandchildren, Greg Eudaley (Katie), Jessica Bustamonte (Ernesto), Kyle Leighton, Lisa Leighton and three great-grandchildren, Barnes Eudaley, Mariana Bustamonte and John Bustamonte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Irene M. Leighton
