Rickie F. Tidwell

Rickie F. Tidwell, 68, of Dyersburg, died late Sunday evening, October 31, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born May 27, 1953, he was the son of the late Elmer and Lydia B. Johnson Tidwell. Rickie proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and as a policeman for the City of Dyersburg. He was the best husband, wonderful father and Pawpaw.  His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Doug Elliingsworth with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 3^rd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honoring Rickie by serving as pallbearers will be Seth Williamson, Danny Childress Scotty Childress, Lannie Tidwell, Donnie Hutcheson and Rusty Burrow.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Owens Tidwell; two sons, Richie Lee Tidwell (Erika) of Edinburg, TX, Robby Greg Tidwell (Kelli) of Ripley; one daughter, Victoria Seaton Williamson (Seth) of Dyersburg; two sisters, Bobbie Sawyer of Finley, Judy Hutcheson of Dyersburg; and seven grandchildren, Delaney, Deidrey, Grace Tidwell and Jordan, John Taylor, Nora and Everly Williamson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Pat Perry, Joyce Patterson, Brenda Childress, Linda Kay Tidwell, Mary Angelous Tidwell and two brothers, Harold Tidwell and Wayne Tidwell.
