Thomas Ozment

Thomas Hailey Ozment, 73, of Memphis, formerly of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis.  Born May 19, 1949 in Searcy, AR, he is the son of the late Elmo Dodd, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Hailey Ozment. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Steepleton General Tire as the warehouse manager.  Tom was a 1967 graduate of Dyersburg High School and a graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin.   He was a huge fan of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks and went to numerous football, baseball, and basketball games.  Whoo Pig Sooie!  He also enjoyed watching golf.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Elbridge Cemetery in Obion County officiated by family members and friends.

Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dodd and Suzanne Ozment, two nephews, Blake (Misty) Ozment and David Ozment, all of Mobile, AL, and two nieces, Caroline (Chris) Naman, of Mobile AL and Donna (Brian) Lackey of Fairhope, AL.  He also is survived by two cousins, Terry (Mitzi) Hailey of Union City and Lester (Ellen) Hailey of Madison, MS.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
