Thomas "Thom" Thurman

Thomas C. Thurman (Thom),  age 78, passed away Sunday, February 18,2024 at his home in Southaven, MS surrounded by family. Thom was born June 4, 1945 in Finley, TN. He grew up in a Baptist minister’s home where he learned to love the Lord at an early age. He had a love for studying and teaching the word and held on to that faith until the end. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Thom worked for Sara Lee Foods for 36 years (King Cotton, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire divisions) Retiring from Sara Lee as the Director of Co[1]Packed products. After retirement his knowledge for the food industry led him to start a food brokerage business entitled KT Foods, Int’l which he thoroughly enjoyed. Survivors include: His wife, of 37 years, Kimberly Thurman(Barrowman) 5 Children – Troy Thurman(Judi) Lacy Thurman (Fiancé Chris) Kyle Thurman, Lisa Kazempour, Darin Thurman and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. T.C. and Ali Mae(Shipley) Thurman and two brothers Randy and Billy Thurman. After a private service- Interment Fairview Cemetery- Dyersburg
