Verna M Rodriguez

Verna Magdalene “Jackie” Rodriguez, 87, of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her residence. Born March 31, 1933, she is the daughter of the late Blon and Frankie Mae Thomas Sandusky.  She attended Wynnburg Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely officiated by Reverend Bert Burkett.

Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.

Jody Gray, Cody Gray, Roger Belt, John Welch, Ernest Morris and Tristan Bell will serve at pallbearers.

She is survived by her son, Ellis M. Rodriguez (Ruby) of Bay City, TX; two sisters, Millie Gilbert (J.C.) of Tiptonville, Bonnie Mae Sanders of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Major Sandusky of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Vanessa Rodriguez, Kennedy Baca, Drake Rodriguez; and three great-grandchildren, Gaven Rodriguez, Rayden Baca and Arlo Baca.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Rodriguez; two sisters, Leoma Gamble, Lottie Scott and three brothers, W.C. Sandusky, James Oliver Sandusky and Grady Roy Sandusky.
