Virginia Pride, 86, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. Born September 14, 1934, she is the daughter of the late James F. and Edith Davidson Moore. She was retired from Dyersburg Fabrics and a member of Evansville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Larry Koonce with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Derin McGavock, Andrew Wright, David Cooper, Ryan Pride, Adam Pride and Bradley Hudson will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 4th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pride Fisher (Eldon) of Dyersburg; five grandchildren Laura Wright (Andrew), Adam Pride (Kim), Ginny McGavock (Derin), Ryan Pride (Kayla), Matthew Fisher; and eleven great-grandchildren Everett Wright, Harrison Wright, Adam Pride Jr., Chance Pride, Madison Hudson, Gavin Riley, Chloe Rumer, Colbie Pride, Caleb Pride, Barret McGavock and Vera McGavock; her brother Alvin (Buck) Moore (Sue) of Finley
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herbert Gail Pride; her son, Mark Freeman Pride; and three brothers, James Edgar Moore, Billy Freeman Moore, Thomas Franklin Moore and one sister, Charlotte Christine Moore.
The family requests memorials be directed to Evansville Baptist Church, 111 5th Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
